Frequently asked questions
CPD, or Continuing Professional Development, embodies the ongoing enhancement of your skills over the course of your career. It enriches your existing knowledge base, drawing from both academic education and field experience. CPD guarantees the maintenance of current qualifications, aids learners in cultivating job-relevant skills, bridges knowledge discrepancies, and empowers them to adapt to evolving landscapes, thereby enhancing their capacity to learn and evolve.
CPD enjoys global recognition! While in many regions it's referred to as Continuing Professional Development (CPD), in countries like the USA and those aligned with its standards, various alternative terms are used. These include Continuing Education Units (CEUs), indicating successful completion of non-regulated programs and courses. Moreover, there are industry-specific sub-categories such as Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Legal Education (CLE). As long as the CPD acquired is pertinent to the individual's professional advancement, it can be documented and accepted interchangeably as CME, CLE, etc., and vice versa.
When we mention a "CPD Provider," we are indicating a company or organization esteemed for its credibility and proficiency in delivering impactful CPD education.
Associated CPD providers are additional organizations or entities affiliated with the main CPD provider, offering complementary services or collaborating to enhance the CPD learning experience.
Transparency is key to our philosophy, and The CPD Register facilitates this for us. We feature all our accredited Training Providers, Activities, and Trainers on the CPD Register. This enables learners to verify their accreditation status, ensuring that the learning they invest in has undergone rigorous assessment to attain accreditation.
